  • $1000 scholarship to local young woman
  • $500 to Immigrant Services Guelph Wellington
  • $1290 to Action Read
  • $250 HIV/Aids Resources and Community Health – Women’s Health Forum
  • $1000 to Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition, The Mama Circle Project – prenatal education, healthy food preparation and accessing community support
  • Soup Sisters – made 75 liters of soup for Women in Crisis
  • Memorial donations – $800 to St. Joseph’s Health Centre in memory of founding member Viola Aboud and Patricia Collins, sister of Catharine Collins
  • $400 to Sunrise Equestrian Centre to support two female children for 1 week Discovery
  • $500 to support Bracelet of Hope’s foster care program
  • $200 to YMCA-YWCA to assist a single mother in need for the holiday party
  • $5103 to Canadian Cancer Society (Golf Tournament proceeds)
  • $2550 to Women in Crisis (Golf Tournament proceeds)
  • $2550 to GGH Sexual Assault Domestic Violence Program (Golf Tournament Proceeds)

Events

  • September 2015 – Take Back the Night – 3 members attended the march
  • October 2015 – Evening of volunteering at the Guelph Food Bank attended by members, family and friends
  • November 2015 – Birthing Kits – in partnership with Zonta Club of Cambridge, assembled 1000 birthing kits to be distributed by World Vision.
  • Dec 6th Vigil: National Day of Action and Remembrance on Violence Against Women was attended by several members. Presentation made by Barbara Fera on behalf of Zonta.
  • March 8, 2016 – Join Me on the Bridge
  • March 10, 2016 – International Women’s Day Breakfast
